The Castle of the Counts is the most renowned medieval symbol in the City of Ghent. Although it has been renovated quite a few times, the spirit of the ancient times is there. You can go for a guided tour and learn more about the reigns of the Flemish, Spanish and Dutch sovereigns here in Ghent. Or you can discover the Castle all by yourself and walk through the private rooms and spaces used by former governing parties in the Low Countries.
